Bully Smoothie
You will need a blender or smoothie maker and a large
bowl (I use a washing up bowl as it can get messy otherwise) and freezer bags or
lots of ice cube bags or small freezer tubs.
Large pot of natural live BIO yogurt
A bag of fresh spinach (helps with and to prevent skin problems)
A net of oranges
A few cloves of garlic crushed
Some mixed herbs (fresh or dry)
Seasonal fruit and vegetables that you have or your local supermarket has
reduced. You can use any fruit or vegetables that are in season but be warned
sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, greens etc cause horrendous wind (yup worse than
normal) so I don’t use those.
Carrots
Beans
Cucumber
Tomatoes
All fruit
Lemon and/or limes (give a lovely shiny coat)
Fennel
Ginger
Garlic
Avocado (also great for skin)
Pineapple (fresh or tinned in own juice is also great if you have a dog who
likes to recycle his own waste)
I tend to blend it in bits and add to my bowl as I go because you cannot get it
all into the blender, than I mix in the live yogurt at the end, divide into
freezer bags or tubs (enough to last 3-4 days at a time) and freeze. Once
defrosted keep in the fridge in an airtight container.
This is the best way to give your dogs fresh vitamins daily!
Adult dogs - 2 large tablespoon a day in meal.
Puppies - a quarter of a teaspoon in one meal a day and increase as your puppy
grows until he is having a full tablespoon a day by 6 months old.
You can also add a good few tablespoons to your own food, any sauce or gravy
based dishes, as part of your families 5 a day. And you won’t even taste it!!
